Co-Founders/Directors

Bill Irwin

Bill has been in ministry for over 40 years. With a B.A. in Biblical Literature from Seattle Pacific College (1975) and an M.Div. from Asbury Theological Seminary (1979), he was ordained in 1980 and served as pastor of churches in San Dimas and Antioch, California. He served from June, 1989 – May 2007 as Associate Pastor of Golden Hills Community Church in Brentwood, California – the last eight years as Pastor of Counseling and Community Prayer. He founded Oak Tree Ministries in June, 2007, and incorporated it in March of 2010.

More and more of Bill’s ministry has focused on aspects of prayer. He has served as facilitator for numerous pastors’ and leaders’ prayer summits, both in California and India, and as part of the intercessory team for Mission America. He is a past board member of Pray the Bay and First Love Ministries, International, a past servant/facilitator for The Leadership Connection and is a past president of the board for Shepherd’s Gate. He ministers in biblical and prayer counseling and inner healing prayer, Sozo ministry, HeartSync, and teaching and mentoring. He has a deep passion to see all people, but especially leaders for Christ, healed and whole in their spirits, minds, emotions and bodies and working effectively in the power of God’s grace and Spirit in the ministries to which He has called them.

Beth Irwin

Beth Irwin ministers with Bill in Sozo and prayer ministry. She is currently the Teaching Director for the Antioch/Brentwood Class of Community Bible Study, ministering to over 300 women and children (from infant through teen years) each week. Beth has been part of the leadership team for Community Bible Study since 1995. Passionate about building and establishing disciples, she maintains a number of discipling relationships.

Better Together

Bill and Beth direct the Delta Healing Rooms together, and thoroughly enjoy working with the wonderful men and women of God that are part of this ministry. Currently there are 22 team members, coming from different congregations around Contra Costa County. Over the past two years, more than 100 individuals have been trained for Healing Ministry through the Delta Healing Rooms, and released to go back to their own places of worship to minister.

The Irwins also head up an inner healing and deliverance team, ministering in Freedom Prayer. This past year, the team averaged 5-6 appointments each week for ministry. More team members are being trained and released into this ministry of prayer, inner healing and deliverance using tools drawn from a number of sources, primarily HeartSync and Sozo.

It is their passionate prayer that God will continue to raise up vital healing and discipling ministries throughout the immediate area of East Contra Costa County, the greater Bay Area … and ultimately globally … all to the Glory of God.

Family Matters

The Irwins have been married since 1974, and have lived and ministered in East Contra Costa County, California, since 1984. Their daughter, Jennifer, recently graduated Simpson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and two minors, in World Missions and Theology. Their son, A.J. is married to Ashley, and together they have four children, Savanah, Aiden, Sophia, and Charlotte. A.J. is an auto technician and Ashley is a full-time mom! Bill and Beth love being Papa and Mimi to this crew, and to many others in the Body of Christ!
