Dear Friends of Oak Tree Ministries –

It’s not unusual during or after a HeartSync session to have people comment something along the lines of “I feel lighter,” or “I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off,” or “it looks lighter in the room.” Some comment about feeling free, or even about a “jailbreak.” And it’s not unusual for those that see to comment about being released from a dark place or a place with bars on the door or out of a room with no doors or windows.

This past week I worked with a woman who has had much more than her share of trauma … Jesus went to a particular set of memories and went to work. I sat mostly quiet, waiting and interceding, sometimes thanking Him for what He was doing. She sat very still for many, many minutes, eyes closed, letting Jesus work. And then she said …

“I saw an entire prison taken out of my heart.” The things we had worked on for over an hour and a half were just … gone. Every wounded area there touched and healed and released. Every internal structure taken down. Her heart open and Jesus with her, loving her, pouring out His peace and joy.

Jesus still frees captives and releases those in dark spiritual prisons (Isa. 61:1) … and evidently takes the prisons down, too!

Thank you all for praying with us as we work to fulfill Oak Tree Ministries’ mission … “bringing the healing and restoring presence of Jesus.” I love what we get to see Him do almost every day.

For prayer for us this month, there are three main things …

… first and foremost, please continue to pray for AJ and the grandkids … and Beth and Jen and me. The divorce finalized last week. Ashley has been very public with another relationship for several months now, and introduced the kids to him a while back (well before the divorce was final.) And she’s told them several conflicting things about her moving away. We’re seeing them grapple with confusion, fear, anger, and raw pain. Beth and Jen were with them in Redding the beginning of last week, and they were all here for Thanksgiving and the next few days … that was good. But we’re also all heartbroken. God has been so faithful directing moment by moment interactions with them, and we’re grateful! We’re also grateful for those of you that have walked through this valley in some way yourselves and your insightful intercession and encouragement. AJ is doing well, growing in faith and joy, and also trying to figure out what things need to look like going forward for him and the kids as he is mostly going to be a solo parent in the near future.

… second, Beth and I, and Jen likely too, will be spending a great deal of time over the next few months with trips back and forth to Redding along with our usual ministries here. We are trusting God to direct our steps with this … there is CBS, Healing Rooms, HeartSync ministry and mentoring, and some ongoing counseling situations that are right here. And there are ministry opportunities every time we go up to Redding.

… and third, please pray with us about year-end finances. We are sending out some fundraising letters over the next couple of days, and we’re trusting the Lord to bring in some much needed finance at the end of the year. There’s already been one major answer, but we are trusting for more. Please pray! And if God lays it on your heart to help tangibly, please feel free to use the link for giving on our website (address is below.)

We love you, and are so thankful for you all! Thank you for your prayers, support, and love! May God bless you powerfully and wonderfully this Christmas season!
