Dear Friends of Oak Tree Ministries –
So which story to tell you this month???
There was a woman who came into Healing Rooms with a group from a local women’s shelter … most of her needs were spiritual and emotional, and the team delighted to pray with her. She also had a rock-hard tumor on her big toe, about the size of a golf ball. The team briefly prayed for that, loved on her some more, and she went back to wait while the rest of her group received ministry. When the last one finished she got up to go, and cried out in amazement as she felt a difference in her toe … she looked, and the tumor had shrunk to the size of a small marble, and now was soft as a sponge. Tears streamed from her face and the faces of many of the women in her group! What a way for our great God to show this lady how much He loves her!
Another story … a college student came in for a few weeks in a row … she’d come several times over the years with her mom, but now came on her own. Three weeks ago the team praying with her walked her through some major deliverance. Lots of things came out at the Rooms … and she went home changed. Her mom saw it and they spent time rejoicing and praising the Lord … and in the midst of that more deliverance happened. Mom told us that whatever started at Healing Rooms finished up over 4 hours … and the changes went even deeper. At the end this young woman was filled with joy, where she had been depressed. She was filled with energy and strength where she had been totally depleted. And it’s stayed. Praise God.
And one more … because of what happened to the young woman above, a pastor they knew flew out from Dallas this past week to see for himself, and to come to the Delta Healing Rooms. We met him and ministered to him last night not knowing any of this … and he left changed. In his words … “My connection to the Holy Spirit has been reactivated … I got my peace and spiritual strength back … My faith, that I can do all things through Christ has now been reactivated and restored. PRAISE GOD!”
There has been soooo much more! God is on the move. Heaven coming to earth.
Thank you for praying for us and our ministries this past month. We’re rejoicing, too, about a very good Healing Rooms training in the middle of last month … Four of the folks attending have joined the team. We’re excited to have them!
As you pray this month, please pray for the following …
… Beth is starting this year’s Community Bible Study Class this week … she’s been working with her leaders, old and new, doing planning and training in earnest all last month. They’ve got over 250 women and children in the study this year … studying 1 and 2 Corinthians. Please pray with and for her (and us) as she launches in.
… I’ve picked up a handful of new clients with really deep stuff going on. I’m grateful for the opportunity to help and minister … pray for wisdom, insight and strength … and pray for their healing!
… Jennifer is going on a mission trip with Dewnamis Ministries to Medellin, Colombia from the 18th-25th. They’ll be ministering healing and God’s love in several churches, in a prison, and to children of prostitutes. Pray with her!
… And also for Beth … she has felt strongly that God wants her to go to Washington, DC with a group of women from our church to “Rise Up” and “The Call” on the National Mall in early October. The Call is believing for a million Christ-following women at these consecutive event. The Call specifically is a prayer gathering … asking God to heal our land … asking God to reverse Roe V. Wade … pleading with God for the salvation of each succeeding generation. They believe that the Jesus People Movement of the 1960’s and 1970’s came about because of a generation of praying mothers … and are asking for God to do it again. Pray with us for the funds … we’re sending her in faith right now. God is going to have to supply the needs.
We are so thankful for each of you! Your prayers make a difference. And know that we’re praying for you! Our God is very great and very able!
